Mediumship
Mediumship is ultimately about healing and love!
Evidential Mediumship is central to spiritualism due to the belief in the continuation of the soul past mortal life. At Two Worlds Spiritualist Centre we are honoured to have world class mediums who demonstrate evidential mediumship at each service. The mediums at Two Worlds have trained in some of the best spiritualist centres and colleges in the world. They have devoted considerable time, effort and energy into developing and honing their skills so that they may communicate with the spirit of those who have left this world.
Mediums may sense the presence of a spirit through any or all of their senses (often referred to as the seven 'clairs', e.g.: clairvoyance - literally meaning 'clear seeing' - or clairaudience, clear hearing). Mediums will always bring very specific evidence about the person whose spirit they are connecting with, thus the term 'evidential mediumship'.
During a demonstration of mediumship at Two Worlds Spiritualist Centre, the medium will begin to describe the person they are connecting with, such as personality, sense of style, favourite hobbies, etc.
If you are attending a service and you feel this may be a connection for you we ask that you identify yourself to the medium by raising your hand. There may be others that also raise their hands, but the medium will continue to provide further specific details (evidence) until only one person can claim it all.
As the evidence is brought forward, we ask that you answer with just a simple and clear ‘Yes’, ‘No’, or ‘I Don’t Know’. The sound of your voice helps the medium strengthen their connection to your loved one, but you do no need to provide any further details. If fact - we call that "feeding the medium" by providing extra details that the medium does not wish to know. Instead they will continue to work with the person in spirit to then move from evidence to the message.
Sometimes, you might feel that most of the evidence fits your loved one, but not all of it. In such cases, we ask that you still listen carefully to the message, as it might be a "piggybacked" or blended message, where it comes from two or more spirits to two or more people in the audience.
